Step 1: Accessing Disk Management

When your computer boots up and doesn't load properly into windows, press F2 to enter BIOS settings (F12 for newer systems) or hold down Shift + Alt while booting. From here, navigate to 'Boot' or 'Advanced Boot Options,' depending on your system's model.

Step 2: Accessing Command Prompt

In the advanced options menu, select either 'Command Prompt (Safe Mode)' or simply 'Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Troubleshooting -> Automatic Repair -> Command prompt.'

Once in the command prompt, you'll see several commands available. Type `bcdedit /enum` and press Enter to list all currently active boot entries on your system.

Step 3: Identifying the Correct Boot Drive

You're looking for a volume labeled as 'Boot' or something similar; this is likely your UEFI partition where Windows boot files are stored.

If you don't see an assigned letter next to the correct volume (like in my case), assign one by following these steps:

1. Type `sel vol X` (replace 'X' with the actual number of your UEFI partition).

2. Press Enter, then type `assign`.

You should now see a new drive letter appear next to the selected volume.

After assigning a drive letter and verifying that it's been applied successfully using dir in cmd (you should see Windows folders like 'Boot', 'Windows'), you can attempt to fix your boot problem by running `bootrec /fixm` followed by `bcdedit /set {default} recoveryon`.

Reboot your computer, then try booting into safe mode or normal mode. If the issue persists, repeat these steps until you're able to access Windows normally.
